  • Channel = Facebook (Videos > Live)
    • Check the boxes for using an SSL and a persistent stream key. This latter will allow you to connect to your Facebook live connection each time you boot up OBS and not have to reenter a stream key each time.
    • You can test your computer’s connection to Facebook Live by clicking the + button under “SOURCES” within OBS and choosing “DISPLAY CAPTURE.” This will capture your computer screen. Click start streaming, then click go live in Facebook and see how it runs. Once you end your live session on Facebook, you will be asked if you want to keep the video on your page or delete the post.

1) Buy these things
– Camcorder
– Computer less than 2 years old
– BlackMagic Ultra Studio Mini Recorder or Black Magic Intensity Shuttle (if not using a Mac)
– Hdmi (from camera to Mini Recorder)
– Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 2 (Thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter, if needed) or (just cdmi and USB 3 if using Intensity Shuttle

2) Install like this
– Connect Camcorder to Mini Recorder
– Connect Mini Recorder to Computer
– Download BlackMagic UltraStudio Software
– Open software and choose HDMI vs. SDI and save.

3) Connect Audio
– Either connect audio directly from Soundboard to Camcorder or Connect Soundboard to Computer (if digital capability is there)
– Adjust the output on soundboard to balance the audio that is going to be live streamed
– Mute anything not being actively used.

4) Broadcasting Software
– Purchase Wirecast ($300-600, depending on software chosen) and use desired streaming service (Youtube, Facebook Live or purchased platform)
or – Sign up for Vimeo Live premium ($75 a month)
– Download Live Studio from Vimeo/Livestream
– Connect software to desired streaming channels
– Add media to display camera’s desired
– broadcast

5) Licensing
– Purchase CCLI streaming license ($65)
– Make sure all music is covered under ccli Song Vault
