As we look forward to another spectacular Annual Conference in June, let us prepare for it in our own local church with the now completed 2017 Lay Equalization Report.
Lay equalization is the process by which the conference balances the number of voting lay persons with the number of clergy members (with vote). The process is explained in Conference Rules IV.A (2016 Journal Section I).
Calculations are based on local church membership as of December 31, 2015 from Table I data.
The full report on Lay Equalization is available to download on this page.
Please feel free to contact me (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions about Lay Equalization for your church.
I will be sure to keep in prayer your members as we come upon Annual Conference 2017!
