What does it mean to be a United Methodist in Cal-Pac?

It means “inspiring the world as passionate followers of Jesus Christ so that all may experience God’s life-giving love!”

Bishop Minerva G. Carcaño will lead a special weekend for United Methodist confirmands and their leaders the weekend of March 4-6, 2016, at Camp Lazy W Ranch that leads them to embrace this vision and calling.  The retreat is scheduled to begin at 8PM Friday evening and end at 11AM Sunday morning.

In addition:

  • The event is for youth who are going through the process of confirmation this year. The age group is to be determined by the church leader.
  • Registration is per Church Group (not individual)
  • The cost of this first annual Bishop’s Confirmation Retreat is $62 per person (including adult chaperones).
  • Adult counselors are required to accompany young people from each church on a 1 adult per 6 children ratio.  Please keep gender groupings in mind.
  • The program starts at 8 p.m. on Friday and concludes around 11 a.m. on Sunday.  Four meals are being provided along with snacks.
  • Attendees should bring their own linen, pillows, towels, toiletries, etc., and clothing appropriate for outdoor activities.
  • There will be fun activities, worship, small groups (with others and with your church group) games, hiking, learning, sharing, and growing together!

Confirmation is an opportunity for those who were baptized as an infant to respond to God’s grace in their life. Learn more about Confirmation in The United Methodist Church here.
