March 29, 2019 / March 30, 2019 -
Anaheim UMC, 1000 S State College Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92806
This is a two-day event: Friday, March 29 (4:30pm – 8:30pm) & Saturday, March 30 (9am – 5pm)
Focusing particularly on discipleship and spiritual formation, this CLM training session (Cycle D) is one of the four sessions required in preparation for certification as a Lay Minister.
This fourth cycle (Cycle D) in the CLM training program is designed to familiarize participants with developmental theories and spiritual practices that describe and ground our formation as disciples. We will discuss “disciple-making systems” and how participants might identify their ministry and service within a particular system or developmental stage of faith formation. Cycle D will be led by Rev. David Berkey, the Director of Discipleship and Camping Ministries for the Cal-Pac Conference, who brings knowledge and perspective from across the UMC in the US over decades of service at both local and conference levels.
This event also provides opportunities for worship, fellowship, and supportive discernment with other laity who are called to greater leadership in their faith communities.
All adult lay members who feel called to deepen their knowledge and strengthen their skills for leadership in focused areas of ministry within a congregation or community are welcome to participate.REGISTER ONLINE NOW
