CLM Training, Cycle C: Leadership in the Wesleyan Way

This is a two-day event: November 2 – 4:30pm – 8:30pm & November 3 – 9am – 5pm

Event Target:

Adult lay members who feel called to deepen their knowledge and strengthen their skills for leadership in focused areas of ministry within a congregation or community.

Event Purpose:

Focusing particularly on leadership in the United Methodist church, this CLM training session (Cycle C) is one of the four sessions required in preparation for certification as a Lay Minister.

This third cycle (Cycle C) in the CLM training program is designed to deepen one’s understanding of and build tools for leadership particularly in the United Methodist connection. Topics to be covered will include local church structure, leading productive meetings, healthy conflict, “holy conferencing,” and more. This Cycle will be led by Rev. Paige Eaves, the Assistant District Director in the South District, along with special guests. Rev. Eaves has served small and large churches in Southern California since 2002. Prior to attending seminary, she was the Executive Director of Sierra Service Project, served as an International Partner in India with Habitat for Humanity, and was an analyst at the World Bank.
