Depensahan: From the Frontlines of the People’s Struggle in the Philippines

October 16, 2016 - 04:00 PM

First United Methodist Church of Wilmington

This summer, United Methodist and community members from all over Southern California participated in the Cal-Pac Philippines Taskforce annual International Solidarity Mission to the Philippines.

On October 16, 2016, missioners will be sharing firsthand about their inspiring stories and lessons learned from workers, farmers, indigenous people, urban poor, women, youth, students, and community leaders on the ground in the Philippines.

We invite past and present missioners, friends, family and supporters to join us for “Depensahan: From the Frontlines of the People’s Struggle in the Philippines” a reportback on the recent International Interfaith and Medical Mission.

There will be a $5-10 donation at the door (no one turned away due to lack of funds), which will go to support the Lumad communities we visited in their struggle for education and a just and lasting peace.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions, comments, for more information about or how to get involved in the International Solidarity Mission of the Cal-Pac Philippines Taskforce please contact the chairperson Joy Prim

Thank you for your continued support for peace and justice in the Philippines! We hope to see you on October 16th!
