  • April 10 (8:45 – 9:30 AM PDT) Grounding Session: “Strength and Ductility in Unpredictable Times” by Monalisa Tu’itahi

How do we cultivate inner strength for the long haul?  How can we stretch our hearts, minds, and beings, as we seek to be agents of grace and love in these all too often dark times?  We will  use gospel lenses to offer some insights to these questions.

Monalisa Tu`itahi was born in the South Pacific Island of Tonga, and immigrated with her family at a young age, settling in Hawaii. She sees her work as an attorney and a lay servant leader engaged in all levels of the The United Methodist Church, as a calling from God to engage in advocacy, in seeking justice for all people. She is married to the Rev. Dr. Saia Tu`itahi, and gave birth to four wonderful young adults, but is a mother to many more. California is home for now, but “she will always be an islander.
