New United Methodist Church San Bernardino Preparing to Launch in 2018

New Church San Bernardino, currently in the process of being birthed, is looking to put together an incredible staff.

The churches of the San Bernardino Mission Area have been working on a plan for the last five years to develop a single Multi-Site Church in the region to reach new people who “don’t yet know that they need to be connected to the God who created them.”

Six of the churches developed a plan, with East District Superintendent Rev. Jan Wiley and Ministry Coach Paul Nixon (Epicenter Group), and have voted to merge into a single new identity. Four properties will be sold, two properties will be upgraded, a third ministry will grow, and a fourth ministry will be planted in the Cities of Fontana, Highland and San Bernardino.

The New Church will receive its new name on May 20th, Pentecost Sunday, and will be birthed on July 1, 2017.

New Church will be led by Rev. David McGlocklin-Executive Pastor, Neil Platon-Pastor of Discipleship and Rafael Deras-Pastor of Mission and Outreach, along with a dynamic leadership team of passionate followers of Jesus Christ.

All who feel called to serve on a dynamic staff team that is preparing to do a new thing in one of “the most incredible and challenging mission fields in Southern California,” are invited to apply.
