UCLA Campus Minister to be Honored as 2017 Impact Maker to Watch

Deaconness Jeanne Roe Smith, Executive Director of Wesley Foundation Serving UCLA, has been selected as a 2017 Impact Maker to Watch by L.A. Supervisor Sheila Kuehl in honor of her outstanding work with UCLA students, faculty, and staff, and the greater LA community.

The ceremony will take place on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Los Angeles City Hall, 6:00-7:30 PM.  More information and an opportunity to purchase a ticket to the event is here.

Geared to inspiring all of us to take ownership in our own neighborhoods and communities, this exclusive event builds connections, promotes awareness, and highlights those doing good work in Los Angeles. Iconic Los Angeles food and drink will be featured along with other surprises!

The Impact-Maker to Watch award is an annual distinction for those who are doing foundation work to make a positive impact in Los Angeles and will continue to do so throughout the year, with significant results. Honorees are designated by LA leaders, including members of the LA City Council and Board of Supervisors. Honorees may have a career of impact that continues to show results or may be just starting out, with equally impressive results. Honorees will be supported and promoted through various City Impact Lab programs throughout the year.”
