Relief-supply kits help provide care for the most vulnerable people during times of human conflict or natural disaster through The United Methodist Committee on Relief’s (UMCOR) global development work and following disasters in the USA.
Bring these UMCOR kits to The Cal-Pac Disaster Response Task Force tool trailer at Annual Conference 2016 and they will be transported to UMCOR West this summer as well as the Sager-Brown(Louisiana) depot in November.
In some countries, children don’t have books or school supplies. Many have no schoolrooms; classes are held in inadequate or half-destroyed buildings, tents, or even the open air. School kits may be these children’s only educational resources. In Cal-Pac, UMCOR school kits have been given to our You Are Not Alone unaccompanied minor program. Health kits provide basic necessities to people who have been forced to leave their homes. They are also used as learning tools in personal hygiene, literacy, nutrition, and cooking classes.
