UMCOR West Seeks Volunteers in the Spring and Summer of 2019

Located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, UMCOR West Office and Depot seeks to be a vital part of the work and vision of the United Methodist Committee on Relief. As a part of UMCOR’s Relief Supplies division, UMCOR West builds, shelves, and distributes relief supplies to areas in the United States that have been effected by natural disasters.

2018 proved to be a busy year as UMCOR West addressed floods, hurricanes, and most notably the fires that burned across the Western USA. As a result, we are looking for volunteer groups from local churches across the country to come to Salt Lake City to help us rebuild our relief supply inventory.

Currently we have several openings in the Spring and Summer (2019) and would love your church to consider this vital mission. Our work can be done by young and old and our costs are very low. Click here and then click on the pastel green “Know Before You Go” PDF file. That file will have all of the information needed to book a mission trip to UMCOR West. Or if you prefer, you may also call Rev. Brian Diggs, Associate Director at UMCOR West at 801-973-7250 or email at Bdiggs@UMCOR.org.

Expected Responsibilities: Church teams to work in the depot facility replenishing and organizing emergency supplies.

Expected Qualification: None needed other than the willingness to work.

For more information or questions, please contact Judy Lewis, Cal-Pac Disaster Response Coordinator at dfjklewis@aol.com or 909-621-9076.

Thanks in advance for all of your support!
