UMEIT is an interactive training session which brings together United Methodist ecumenists from all levels of denomination to further Christian witness and build interfaith communities.

The conference will feature a presentation by Dr. Hendrik Pieterse, Associate Professor of Global Christianity and World Religions from Garret Evangelical Theological Seminary.  Dr. Pieterse will give a brief overview on Christianity as a world faith, important theological and missional issues raised by the reality of a world church, and implications for United Methodist identity and mission in its ongoing efforts to be a “worldwide” denomination.
