United Methodist Women Realignment has been completed from Eight Districts to Five Districts

news-graphicFor surely I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. They are the plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future with hope.” Jeremiah 29:11-12

This year is a new beginning of our journey together as “Angels of Faith”. Praise God for His guidance and direction.

We are up to a great start with great accomplishments. Congratulations — now we are Officially 5 UMW Districts: Hawaii, West, South, East and North.

The Realignment process was the best thing that happened to the California-Pacific Conference United Methodist Women. As our Purpose states: We are a Community of women whose purpose is to know God, to develop a creative supportive fellowship, and we all come from different backgrounds united, to meet, to worship and to be in Leadership together. We each brought our unique gifts, talents and experiences to share and to build strong District Leaders to operate each UMW District to the best and fullest ability.

The Goals are many, as we align with the Annual Conference to work hand in hand, to use our Methodist connectional system to connect with every woman in all Local Organizations, to strengthen them to mentor, especially those who are in need of helping hands.

Last month, each District Leadership Team had their Installation of New Officers and Training of All Local Officers. In order to reach every Local Organization within their District, the number of District Officers were increased to ensure all their meetings and events can be broadened out to reach all women to be included and participate. These new officers are Co-Vice Presidents, Co-Membership Coordinators, Co-Chairpersons Committee on Nominations and Co-Communication Coordinators.

I humbly thank you from the bottom of my heart, for a job well done, and how productive and attentive you all were to details in handling the business of the UMW, and for all your prayers and hard work. Your tireless effort in every aspect of the organization paid off. But our work is not over; there are some loose ends that we will continue to work on as we go along.

We will continue to pray and ask God for His continued guidance and direction.
