Call to Prayer: Los Angeles Unified School District

Bishop Minerva G. Carcaño calls the California-Pacific Conference to prayer in the midst of the Los Angeles Unified School District shutdown.

The Los Angeles Unified School District spans both the West and North Districts of the California-Pacific Conference. Dean of Cabinet, West District Superintendent, Rev. Dr. Kathey M. Wilborn offers this prayer:

May the evil that roams encounter the Light that shines in these communities.

Once again, prayers of support are being received from across the United Methodist connection. In times such as these, we in the California-Pacific Conference are reminded that the Prince of Peace is among us.

Lord, in your mercy…
