Call for Volunteers for June 30 Fireworks Incident Cleanup in LA

The California-Pacific Conference Disaster Response Task Force is calling for volunteers to assist with the cleanup of a large explosion in Los Angeles on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. 17 individuals were injured by the explosion, including 9 LAPD officers, an ATF officer, and 7 civilians.

With many families having been displaced by this incident, the City of Los Angeles has requested nonprofit partners to assist households with cleanup and debris removal efforts. The location of the cleanup site will be at the intersection of 27th Street and San Pedro in Los Angeles.

Pickup/cleaning may be either outside in the street or inside apartments and houses. The cleanup efforts began today (July 6) and will continue throughout the week.
