Away From Home: American Boarding School Stories (NAIC)

A Joint Exhibition Presented by Sherman Indian Museum and The Autry Museum of the American West

The Native American International Caucus (NAIC) of The United Methodist Church is working closely with General Commission on Archives and History (GCAH) to encourage and inform members about the Indian Boarding School history and the church’s participation as a primary step in addressing the denomination’s efforts to reconcile with Native People.

The California-Pacific Conference supports Sherman Indian High School‘s Back-to-School Assistance for Sherman students each fall. It is heartening to see such an exhibit available to many in our area, at Sherman Indian Museum.
