“Therefore, Go” to be Theme of Annual Conference 2016

news“Therefore, Go,” the theme of General Conference 2016, will also be the theme for the California-Pacific Conference’s 32nd Annual Session in 2016.

Based on Paragraph 122 of the United Methodist Book of Discipline and the passage of Matthew 28:19-20, the theme of “Therefore, Go,” is realized by our Church’s task to:

  • Proclaim – the gospel…
  • Lead – persons to commit their lives to God…
  • Nurture – persons in Christian living…
  • Send – persons into the world to live lovingly and justly…

Members of the California-Pacific Conference’s Sessions Task Force, led by Bishop Minerva G. Carcaño, gathered on Friday, September 18, 2015 to affirm this theme as well as the invitation of David Worthington, Director of John and Charles Wesley’s New Room in Bristol, England, as guest speaker for the Session.

In addition, the Sessions Task Force will call upon the California-Pacific Conference’s General Conference delegation to lead the Session in the process of Christian Conferencing around important matters to be considered.

Further information on the 32nd Session will soon become available at calpacumc.org/ac2016
