Announcement on Senior Executive Assistant to the Bishop

The California-Pacific Conference welcomes Margaret Irwin as the new Senior Executive Assistant to Bishop Grant J. Hagiya.

Margaret was most recently the Chief of Staff to the first female President and Assistant Secretary of the Board of Trustees at the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens (San Marino, CA).  She has also served as Board Liaison at The Autry Museum, Los Angeles Opera, Center Theatre Group, and Senior Office Administrator at The Music Center.  Currently, she serves on the Eagle Rock Public Arts Committee and supports the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, GLAAD, and other anti-bullying organizations and initiatives.

Margaret is a writer and artist with deep family roots in The United Methodist Church.  She grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Southern Methodist University.

“In the stillness of gratitude and with a humbled heart, it is a privilege to serve within the Episcopal Office and support Bishop Hagiya,” she remarks.

Margaret was selected after a thorough search process which began after the retirement of Gail Kendall.  Let us welcome Margaret to Cal-Pac with open arms!
