Gifts for Children of San Bernardino Shooting Victims Now Accepted

website maker news-graphicSt. Paul’s United Methodist Church of San Bernardino is collecting gift cards for the families with children of the December 2, 2015 attack at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, CA.

After the gifts are collected, the church will partner with the local chapter of The Children’s Fund so that they are delivered to the families. Much gratitude is given to Rev. David McGlocklin of St. Paul’s UMC and the County of San Bernardino for making the partnership possible.

Gift cards are the suggested items for the children because there is no space to store larger items. There are 13 children under the age of 18 with two of them being infants under the age of one.

Suggested gifts would be $5 gift cards from retail stores or a simple cash donation that will be used to buy as many $5 gift cards as possible in support of the families.

Gifts and/or donations can be sent to:

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church of San Bernardino
c/o San Bernardino Christmas Gifts
785 N. Arrowhead Ave.
San Bernardino, CA 92401

Gifts will be dedicated during this coming Sunday’s worship service (12/20/15). Please contact St. Paul’s UMC of San Bernardino (stpauls@spumcsb.org) if gift giving is being considered but if the gifts might not arrive by this Sunday so that the pledged gift can be printed for dedication.

Also to be dedicated at the worship service are the bibles that were present at the prayer vigil that will be given to the victims. To include a message of support to the victims in the bibles, please email them to the church.

For further questions, please contact St. Paul’s United Methodist Church of San Bernardino (stpauls@spumcsb.org, (909) 889-3609).
