Spiritual Gift Course: This is a required class for certification of Lay Servant Ministry and along with Basic. Opportunities for Basic class is still available in English by our peers in the conference. Please check out the website for those schedules.
Instructors: Lay Servant Ministry in Tongan
Book From Upper Room: Each One a Minister, a revised and enlarged edition of Carter’s previous book by the same title, begins with a 6-session study of Ephesians. Carter engages the reader in discovering the meaning of church, ministry, and gifts — from the early church up to the present.
As a follow-up to the Bible study, readers and study groups look at ways in which God’s gifts are practical as well as spiritual. Four ministry categories, closely connected to the congregational primary task (receive, relate, equip, send), are identified. Scripture readings, activities, and ways to implement specific ministries are suggested.
Designed to encourage individuals to discover God’s call to ministry in their own lives, Each One a Minister leads toward practical ways of using gifts in ministries in our congregations and in our communities. An ideal resource for clergy, lay leaders, study groups, and others seeking to identify and use their gifts in meaningful ways.
Purchases of book: The Upper Room Store & Resource Library – For the Common Good

Campers are beginning to move from concrete ideas to abstract ideas and introducing Christianity can get a little confusing. Conversations are centered around building a better understanding of the parables and how campers can reflect the message in their daily lives. Campers will be able to better relate to their Christian faith and make sense of their role in the world around them. In between small groups, campers experience a wonderful array of worship, music, food, nature, and other activities.
SENIOR HIGH
Entering Grade 10 – 2025 Graduating Seniors
Dates: June 22nd – June 28th, 2025
($510 per person)
Senior High Camp is the last stage of the campers’ Cedar Glen faith journey. Campers are fully challenged in their family groups with rich dialogue and deep spiritual and emotional conversations. These conversations often deal with how we can better bring God’s Kingdom to “Earth as it is in Heaven” as Methodists and how we can make sense of what is currently going on in this secular world. Doubts and IDKs are encouraged and praised as they are often tools that don’t weaken faith but strengthen faith as each camper learns from each other.
