The Cambodian Fellowship, SAUMC and the Cambodian Ministry, Grace UMC Long Beach have been blessed with the opportunity to complete the five sessions Lay Servant Ministry Basic Course in Khmer on Sunday June 1, 2025.

We had 23 participants with an age range from 22 to 84 years old in our class. Two of the participants are mother and daughter taking the class together. This brings tears to my eyes to see how everyone was so hungry and humble to learn how to serve our living God in their community, according to their spiritual gifts. The Holy Spirit was with us and guided us as we learn that we are to lead by examples in serving God by loving and caring for one another with the works of mercy and justice. Next step: we are working on the translation of “For the Common Good – Discovering and Using Your Spiritual Gifts” into Khmer. We should be able to offer this class in Khmer some time during the first quarter of 2026. Please continue to pray for us.
