#pray4relief – Bishop Carcaño, Cal-Pac clergy and leaders arrested with others at White House

news112 faith leaders from a variety of religious backgrounds and immigrant activists were arrested at the White House on July 31, 2014 while protesting President Obama’s deportation policies which have reached a daily rate of 1,100 aspiring Americans.

A crowd of more than 500 supporters and many members of the news media were present to witness, and give witness to, the protest.

“We are here because we are not hearing a moral voice from the White House,” proclaimed Bishop Minerva G. Carcaño, Los Angeles Episcopal Area Resident Bishop of The United Methodist Church.
