Border Compassion: A Mother’s Day Gift for Migrant Mothers (Justice & Compassion)

Due to unjust immigration policies, migrants are not granted their right to apply for asylum. Instead, families are forced to remain on the southern border living in dangerous conditions and unable to return to their home countries.

On May 10th, 2023, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet (Los Angeles), along with partners, are visiting an immigrant shelter in Mexicali to be a prayerful presence for our migrant brothers and sisters seeking asylum.

They will host a Mother’s Day Celebration to honor all the mothers in the shelter on May 10th. This will include a gift for every mother, a wallet with money.

Help us reach our goal of 200 wallets. You are invited to donate a wallet or make a cash donation by May 8th.
