Multiplication in church participation is a difficult task no matter the circumstances. It is twice as hard during the time of Covid-19, but we cannot stop trying to reach those who are in need of a spiritual answer for very tough times. The need to share Christ and His Church is greater than it has been for a long time, especially in the midst of so much sickness and grief.
Speaker: Our presenter for this occasion is non-other than Rev. Olu Brown, pastor of Impact Church (UMC), a young congregation in the East Point community of Metro Atlanta (impactdcd.org). With Olu’s vision and leadership, since its founding in 2007, Impact has grown from a core team of 25 people to more than 2,400 attendees each Sunday in person and 1,600 online with a $4 million budget.
He will take us through processes of community development and ministry building during times of Covid.
Schedule:
- 10 AM – 12 Noon (PST) Morning Session (open)
- 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM (PST) Breakout Groups (for New Ministries funded ministries)
Zoom Meeting information will be sent to you by email closer to the event date.
- Technical requirements: To participate in Zoom meetings, participants must have a reliable Internet connection, and a laptop, tablet, or smartphone device that can download and install the Zoom app. A web or phone camera and a microphone are highly recommended, although some users may call in via phone if a mic is not available.
