Cost: $26 for DISC Leadership Style Inventory prior to training

Registration due: April 27, 2023

This event is for Local Pastors and Associate Members.

This course will cover 10 principles (5 in this 2-day session and 5 in another future session) that are essential for surviving and thriving as a local church pastor.

There are many things we learn in our educational process, some that we learn from mentoring relationships and then others that we learn by trial & error. It is often these trial & error learnings that are most painful, lead to frustration and even burnout.

Rev. Dr. Brian T. Parcel, an Elder in the Cal-Pac Conference in his 24th year under appointment, will walk us through these important principles. These principles will lead to a greater understanding of yourself, your spiritual needs, your leadership style, your ministry context and how to build good leadership structures for ministry in the local church.

Each participant will need to complete the online DISC Leadership Style Inventory, print out the results and print out the accompanying resource material. The DISC Profile can be taken at: Triaxia Partners – Register (pdiprofile.com)

The 10 Principles —

  • Knowing God — The Pastor’s Spiritual Life
  • Knowing Your People — strategies for getting acquainted with your congregation
  • Knowing Yourself — Understanding your leadership style
  • Knowing Your Church — Understanding the dynamics of your organization
  • Handling Money Well
  • Chairing Nominations Well
  • Seeding Vision
  • Preaching Well
  • Collaborative Accountability
  • Equipping the Saints

Zoom link will be sent out the day before the event to registered candidates.
