Building Communities of Hope and Joy: Who Can We Be Together?

Classes:  All classes are based on Luke Chapter 13.  Adult classes will be held online via Zoom between July 7th to July 22nd (PDT/HST).  The Adult study book is “Who Can We Be Together?” and may be purchased at Amazon Kindle or United Women in Faith. We will ponder what would be possible if we tend to the needs of our communities in small yet radical ways, as Jesus did in Luke 13?

• Technical requirements: To participate in Zoom meetings, participants must have a reliable Internet connection, and a laptop, tablet, or smartphone device that can download and install the Zoom app. A web or phone camera and a microphone are highly recommended, although some users may call in via phone if a mic is not available.

Worship & Fellowship:  On Saturday, July 23rd, we will have a one day in-person gathering at three Churches.  This will be a time of Worship and Fellowship for Women, Youth & Children. The three locations are:

• San Dieguito UMC (170 Calle Magdalena, Encinitas, CA 92024)
• Holliston UMC (1305 E Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, CA, 91106)
• Honolulu First UMC (1020 S Beretania St., Honolulu, HI 96814)

Children and youth are invited to attend but must be accompanied by a responsible adult. They will participate in the same activities as the adults. We will make every effort for the worship times to be enjoyable for all. Childcare will be available for children 5 and under.
