newsApplying for Provisional Membership

Dates to Apply: Immediately Following the District Committee on Ordained Ministry Recommendation until October 1, 2015 by 11:59:59 p.m. (PST)

Applying for Provisional Membership is online. Starting on July 1 to October 1, 2015, those certified candidates wanting to apply for provisional membership this year may go to the Board of Ordained Ministry’s web site, www.calpacumc.org/bom and click on “Membership: Provisional and Full Connection” and then click on “Applying for Provisional Membership.” There you will find all the forms and application to apply for Provisional Membership. The forms will need to be filled out in Adobe Reader (not the Mac reader that automatically comes up if you have a Mac) and then emailed to Rev. Sunyoung Lee, Provisional Registrar, at PMReg@bom.calpacumc.org and Cathy Wilson, Administrative Coordinator to the Board, at Admin@bom.calpacumc.org.

Applicants for Provisional Membership must have attended the ‘Orientation To Ministry’ prior to submitting the application. If you have not attended the ‘Orientation To Ministry’ by October 1 of the year prior to the commissioning year, the application cannot be processed. The Candidacy Summit fulfills the ‘Orientation To Ministry’ requirement. The last event to fulfill this requirement before applying this year to the Board of Ordained Ministry will be at the Candidacy Summit on August 22, 2015. The registration form is located on our website at www.calpacumc.org/bom under the Candidacy Tab.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Rev. Sunyoung Lee.
