The California-Pacific United Methodist Foundation has endowed donor fund accounts that have distributable dollars for specific types of church programs. The Grants Committee decided to make this Grant Application not only available to Torrance First United Methodist Church but to churches throughout the California-Pacific United Methodist Conference.

Since the number of grants are limited due to available funds, we are restricting this application to one graduating high school senior from your congregation who plans to enroll in a two or four year institution of higher learning (community college, vocational school, college or university), in the Fall of 2020. This year five scholarships will be awarded to selected students in the amount of $2,000.00 each.

The downloadable PDF titled The Lois Balsley Scholarship Application is a legacy gift from Ms. Lois Balsley to help aspiring students reach their educational goals. The application has been designed in a fill-in format so that it can be emailed to the student for completion. Only typed applications will be accepted.

If your church has a high school senior who is interested in applying, please share this application with them. Applications must be submitted by April 15, 2020, as a PDF email attachment (NBailey@cpumf.org) or by standard mail (CPUMF, PO Box 6006, Pasadena, CA 91102-6006). Late applications will not be accepted.
