Bishop Escobedo-Frank’s Announcement of New Dean of the Cal-Pac Appointive Cabinet

Reverend Moonyoung Lee to be the new Dean of the Cal-Pac Appointive Cabinet on July 1.

It is my pleasure to announce that starting on July 1, 2024, Rev. Moonyoung Lee will serve as Dean of the Appointive Cabinet for our California-Pacific Annual Conference. Rev. Lee comes to this role with the necessary skills and experience to lead the Cabinet into the next phase of our work. She has served faithfully throughout our conference, including her leadership roles on the Orders Committee. Rev. Lee is a skilled multi-cultural leader with strong administrative abilities and a heart for ministry.

As a Provisional member, Rev. Lee’s first appointment was at Wayside UMC in 2010, followed by St. Paul’s UMC of Redondo Beach in 2011. Upon Ordination, Rev. Lee became a full member of the California-Pacific Annual Conference on July 1, 2012. She continued to serve at St. Paul’s UMC of Redondo Beach until appointed as Associate Pastor at Wilshire UMC in 2015. In 2020, Rev. Lee joined the Cabinet as the District Superintendent of the Hawaii District and currently serves as the District Superintendent of the East District.

Rev. Lee’s graceful leadership style will serve her well as Dean of the Cabinet. Join me in welcoming her in this new calling.
