Dear Siblings in Christ,
As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, hearts and minds across the California-Pacific Conference unite and rejoice in joy and hope! Nothing unites us more than the community gathered in worship! Though many of us cannot gather in person as we wish, all of us gather in Spirit through prayer, song and the sharing of witness to the eternal hope that comes to us in the remembrance of the birth of the Christ Child.
We hope this virtual worship resource is a gift of time that will relieve some of the load of preparation and leading for those who have been giving so much time and energy to the preparation and leading of the wonderful worship services in this busy season. The service can be shared in its entirety, or you can download each and every song or litany or the Bishop’s sermon individually. A written transcript of the Bishop’s sermon is also available in Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese and Tongan. You can download any of these sermons at calpacumc.org/christmas2021. In addition, written transcripts of the Prayer of Invocation, Prayer of Confession and Benediction may also be downloaded.
Our prayer is that the Bishop’s message of “Light in the Darkness” can be shared through out the California-Pacific Conference community, bringing us hope for the new year to come.
Wishing you all Faith, Hope, Joy and Peace!
Rev. John Farley
Assistant to the Bishop for Leadership
